SYNOPSIS

When we meet Lou, she’s in bad shape. Her ex has broken off their engagement. She’s not doing what she wants for work. Insult to injury, it feels like her friends are lightyears ahead of her. They’re getting married, developing lucrative, fulfilling careers. But then she writes—repurposes, really—wedding vows for her best friend, Tilda, and things start to change. The one-time assist turns into a side-hustle, which becomes a full-fledged enterprise. It doesn’t matter that Lou herself is no longer in a relationship or that the only guy interested in her is Tilda’s fuckboy cousin, Dash. Suddenly, she’s giving voice to couples’ eternal promises on the biggest day of their lives. It’s energizing. Intoxicating. It makes her optimistic in a way she hasn’t felt in ages.
