SYNOPSIS

Years since his last turn in the ring, a journeyman Boxer (Orlando Bloom) unexpectedly lands his final shot at the title.  In an attempt to return to former greatness he must go to extremes to cut a significant amount of weight in a dangerously short time. The Cut follows Boxer through a grueling pre-fight training regimen where the intensity and pressure makes him start to lose his grip on reality.  Under the guidance of his partner and trainer Caitlin (Caitríona Balfe), he finds himself falling short. Out of desperation, Boxer becomes entangled in the risky, dark, and desperate methods employed by shadowy specialist Boz (John Turturro). In a sport that has eaten him alive, Boxer is willing to sacrifice everything it takes to win, or die trying.
